Hotelsa Alimentación plan new installations in Cape Verde
The Majorcan Hotelsa Foodservice specialized in production and sale of foods and beverages for hotels, plans to implement new facilities in Sal Island (Cape Verde) during next year 2013. The future installations will have new production lines for alcoholic drinks, juices and lyophilized products (creams, sauces, soups, etc.), the main products of the company catalog. Hotelsa has another plant in Sal Island since 2010, whose facilities also feature storage and offices with a total surface of 1.200 m2. The company has also increased its storage capacity in Cape Verde earlier this year, with the acquisition of a warehouse in Boavista (1.100m2). Furthermore, Hotelsa is keeping under review the constitution of a Joint-Venture in order to invest in freezing cameras and, so, enlarging its range of food products to hotels in that market.
New facilities in Morocco
Also during the first half of 2012, Hotelsa has increased its presence in Morocco, just after enlarging its plant in I.E. Thasila, in Agadir, which has added a new production line of lyophilized products. These facilities, opened in early 2011, were aimed until then, to the fabrication of concentrated juices, concentred cocktails, syrups, colorants and extracts with a capacity of 5.000L each day. On the other hand, the company has added in 2012 a new warehouse in Saidia, north of Morocco.
Following its international expansion plan, Hotelsa also added two new warehouses in Portugal during the first semester of the current financial year in El Algarve and in Madeira. Furthermore, be recalled that, in 2011, the company also opened facilities in Mexico, remodeled and expanded the plant in Cancun, added a plant in Tunisia (juices, cocktails and lyophilized products), and another warehouse in Kalaa Kebira, in addition of a new complementary storage in Djerba. The international presence of the company is completed with a plant in Dominican Republic and several trade delegations.
In Spain, Hotelsa has two factories in Mallorca (one aimed to food production and the other one to dispensing machines) and another one in Barcelona (aimed to the elaboration of alcoholic beverages), as well as several warehouses,the last one incorporated in Alicante (500m2) in 2011. The company also has 10 trade delegations in national territory. Hotelsa expects to end this year with 27M€ sales, compared to the 23M€ registered last year.
